Reel To Real
From the start of cinema, it has been a big icon for setting up various models and examples in society. People, do love when their favourite film stars depict 'the common man' lifestyle on the big screen whether it been keeping a "Tere Naam Salman Hairstyle" or phrasing each other as "Yo Yo". But many times, Cinema has been heavily criticised for setting up wrong examples in front of public especially children.
People need to understand that it is not possible in reality that a hunk would come thrashing the walls to save them in need. In India, it is a scenerio that cinema is celebrated as festival and Film Stars as Gods. But people can't make out the difference between the actor and the character played by him on screen. This has many times worked in the favour of film stars especially in the recent case of Salman Khan. Limits crossed when many attempted suicide in protest against Salman's court hearing. History is full of such incidents whether it be kissing red Rajesh Khanna's white car or jumping from rooftops for sseing Dev Anand in black. Even court ordered Dev Anand to never wear black dresses.
It is true in India that Cinema and Cricket are spouses, but their basic feature is to provide entertainment and that too, clean. But celebrities can't be blamed for above listed incidents. Film Stars portray various characters just to entertain the masses. People need to understand the difference between Reel life and Real life. They can't just idealise actors on the basis of characters they play.
